I'm so intrigued how land forms like that. You have, flat, flat, flat...then a mountain. I know a lot of stuff around me is glacial formed or dropped boulders from glaciers, not too familiar with the west :-(

Most of the places I lived in such as Memphis, TN and Parker, FL are mostly formed by liquid water erosion and sea level changes.  My mom lived near Philly until she was 13.  Mostly in flood plain topography.  Which in that area is affected by both glacial and water erosion in liquid state.
