Thanks, El.  Didn't turn out too bad for a not so smart phone camera shot held to the ground with me crouching.  Hurts too much nowadays to get down on the ground, let alone the ability to get back up ...

April 23rd found me in the Humboldt Range again.  This time I was driving on my own time and in my own vehicle.  These two photos were taken next to each other in Spring Valley, the east side, south of Unionville.  The subjects are lupin and phlox.

Zucchini plant's flower and adult fruit from my garden.  Went to my sister ACDC and her hubby.  Couldn't pick it or prepare it myself due to my ankle.  First zucchini fruit of the year.  Photo credit to my mom.

Strawberry flowers from my garden in spring.  The plant died due to my over watering with the drought that started this fall.  RIP.

The poppy, I guess, is in El's third dhot, mixed in the lupine. The first shot by El is Indian Paintbrush, a very common mid-altitude dweller, growing above about 5,000 feet in the Great Basin.
