Music in Your Videos Tip

Recommended Posts

You can use copyrighted music from popular songs as long as it's listed here (each song has specific rules):

https://www.youtube.com/music_policies

What happens is, if you choose to use it, you can't monetize off of it.

For other music you can use, and still monetize (royalty free - but you have to mention)...I've gotten a couple songs from these 2 websites:

Another thing you can do is get a subscription to like Epidemic Sound and have another large source of music for your YouTube videos.

I have been checking epidemic sound and found a track I really, really love. Thank you so much for suggesting that!
But, need to know how do you like the subscription so far? I'm going to try the free trial first, but I might stick with it based on the soundtracks I've heard so far but need an opinion of a current user.

I love it, you don't even have to give a link back to any of the tracks you use while you're a subscriber, and if you cancel your subscription, the music you used during your subscription (the videos uploaded during the subscription) can continue using the music without having to do anything at all. I don't foresee me ending my subscription though, so much good music on there.
